30 Day Personal and Professional Challenge

30 Days Countdown to One Personal Goal and One Professional Goal

Keep your goal SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely).  Take out a pen and paper, or a reminder app. and add the following with reminders.  If paper, but them on your monitor, if electronic set a daily reminder to look.

Challenge 1:  Create 1 Personal Goal:
Some personal examples:  Finish a course, learn a new skill, turn off all your devices by a certain time every night, set aside 10% of your salary (increase if you are by x%), coffee from home only, keep an expense journal for 30 days, talk to an old friend twice a week, breathing exercises 5x every day.

Challenge 1: Create 1 Personal Goal:
Some Professional Examples:  Have lunch with a colleague or your boss once a week. take a leadership course, connect with a mentor once a week, set 2 goals to make you more effective and efficient, take one risk every week.

1.  Write down your goal, your target, and how you measure your successful completion.

2.  Look at your goal(s) and target every day

3.  WRITE IT!  (did we say write them down?) and put them somewhere you will see them every day, or have a pop up reminder of them.

(Example:  First work day of the week, I will reach out to my boss / or different colleague and book lunch with them).  Then keep track if you’ve done it every week.  Or sign up for a course that has to be finished by the end of the month, then keep track of your sign up, and progress.

Good luck and let us know how it went.  We’ll take the ice bucket challenge it did.
